Insights from a week of meetings with distributors, clinics, and retailers at a major 2026 K-Beauty Expo Exhibition.
TradeK-Beauty Expo show floors show you what a market wants. Over several days of meetings at a recent K-Beauty exhibition, we talked with pharmacy distributors, aesthetic clinic owners, drugstore category managers, e-commerce founders, and trading companies from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
They work in very different markets, but most of them asked us the same questions. If you run a B2B business in beauty, pharmacy, or aesthetics, you are probably asking them too.
This came up more than anything else. Buyers in many regions told us that demand for scalp and hair solutions is growing faster than the supply of credible products. Some said their local market has only a handful of options. Others said what’s available is mostly generic shampoo with little science behind it.
One group kept coming up in particular: women dealing with thinning hair. Men often have procedural options. Women are usually left with very few interventions they feel comfortable trying. Several clinic and aesthetic-center owners said this gap is the biggest unmet need in their business, and that they had been looking for a product like ours for a long time.
What this means for you: Scalp care is no longer a niche add-on. It is a category customers already want, and early movers can still claim it.
A recurring complaint was that premium scalp products reach consumers at prices that limit volume. Buyers want brands that can scale through pharmacies, retail, and clinics without losing their premium position.
That’s why we built two brands for two channels, instead of one product trying to do everything:
What this means for you: You can build a retail line and a professional line from one partner, with a separate position and margin for each, so they don’t compete with each other.
Experienced buyers have seen many products that make big promises. What drew them to our booth was where these brands come from.
DermaRegeon is built by a biotech company, and the research behind it comes from university-based work on the biology of the scalp and hair follicle. HERIBON’s signature active ingredient naturally gives the formula its distinctive reddish color, with no artificial dye. HAIRREGEON combines a proprietary peptide technology with a metabolic activator, both designed to support a healthier, more balanced scalp environment.
What this means for you: When your sales team, pharmacists, or practitioners explain the product, they have a real scientific story to tell. That builds trust with end customers and helps justify a premium price.
For distributors, a great product doesn’t matter if it can’t clear customs or get registered in the market. Several buyers asked first about certifications and registrations, even before price.

DermaRegeon products have completed key regulatory registrations and quality certifications in major markets:
Our brands are also present in a growing network of international markets, including Canada, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, alongside Germany, Vietnam, and the United States.
What this means for you: Much of the regulatory groundwork is already done. You spend less time on paperwork and get to market faster, and you’re working with a brand that has already passed the scrutiny of some of the world’s strictest regulators.
Distributors don’t just buy products. They choose partners. The buyers we met wanted to know three things:
Many of the conversations followed the same path. A buyer tried the products, experienced them personally, and came back wanting to talk about their market.
The message from the trade show floor was clear. Demand for science-backed scalp care is rising worldwide, women are looking for options, and markets everywhere are short on credible, certified products. Distribution partnerships are being decided now, and in many regions the first partner to move will set the standard for the category.
If you run a pharmacy network, a distribution company, an aesthetic clinic group, a salon chain, or a beauty retail business, this is a good time to start the conversation.
